Some interesting tidbits.
1. We found this store by accident, because on the same main road are the car dealerships we are checking out to get our new car. I saw this one and another just down the road called "Soul of City" which is on the same side of the road. We only went inside this one.
2. The store’s name on this board says "Better World where life gets better" I am confused if this is the name of the bookstore or the Home appliance store next door or the name of this ‘strip mall’. Is Better World attached to books and gifts? Is it the same sign? It looks like it … but….
3. The bag we got our items bagged in has a store name of "Current books" and is an outlet of "D.C. Books" so, what is the real name of this store? ;-)

This store in someways is typical Kerala…. the ladies working in the store follow on your back and you can’t walk freely by yourself. This is the kind of store I guess it’s better to know what you want, go in see if it’s there and get out. You won’t find peace on your own strolling around inside. It’s a small shop, not many people there, but none the less.

I was interested to go in not because of books primarily but because the sign says ‘cards and stationary’. We did find a few small thank you cards that can be written inside (blank). This was good. First the sales lady showed us a few Thank you Cards, but they were specific messages to a particular person, so that is not good for our needs. Krishna dug through the cards and found the ones we eventually got. Though the cards were quite organized, it’s also not easy to find the cards since there are no signs to point out the different sections of subjects. Also, for some reason the envelopes are not put behind each set of cards in all cases, and they are all put on the bottom ‘shelf’ so you have to sort through to find the right size, and many envelopes were dirty. Not sure why! Anyhow we did find what we were looking for at a cost of 2 small cards for Rs. 10 (about 25 cents). I asked to buy a pack of envelopes, but that was not available. I was told we could pick out envelopes from the ones on the bottom shelf (if people do that, buy only the envelopes, would that mean the cards could run out of envelopes?).

Anyhow it was a stop that was successful, as we got what we wanted. :)
