A new kitchen was an absolute “must have” a few months ago. My old kitchen was, well, old. As a busy entrepreneur with a background in art and design I couldn’t resist designing my own kitchen once I decided to replace my old kitchen and I’d had some experience of designing kitchens anyway as I’d spent some time as a kitchen designer / planner for a very successful bespoke kitchen design company where kitchens were designed fitted and installed all over London and the South East. The average price of the kitchens we created for our customers was in the region of £10000-£20000. But having experience in the industry I knew I could pull something out of the bag for considerably less. My new kitchen is such a change from my old kitchen. In fact I should have done a before and after for you. However, I’m really pleased. I make the most use of the limited space with built in stainless steel cooking appliances: microwave and fan assisted oven together with ceramic four ring hob. And built under fridge and freezer. I used a Granite finish work top. I did the finishing work whilst I had a friend who is an experienced plumber and electrician do the main fitting.
