Yes, you read it correctly. His name is Can Opener. I named him and I’m sure you have no problem believing this. I used to hate cats. So much that, in the beginning, I would name them after kitchen appliances. But the cats continued to show up at our door. Every cat we’ve ever owned were strays. This little guy was a small kitten when he arrived and now he’s huge.

You’ll be happy to know I don’t hate cats, anymore. Can Opener will retain his goofy name, though.

Fisher & Paykel, Elba Series Washer-Dryer Combo

Just playing around with my camera messing with indoor lighting using my new washer and dryer as subjects.

Btw, these things are killer appliances. I sat down there checking the first load in the washer and when it started spinning I thought it was going to launch straight up through my kitchen floor and then it went faster still.

It’s a crazy world when you can find excitement in a new washer and dryer. Btw, these are the first new washer and dryer set I’ve ever owned.

Made by crazy folks in New Zealand who also get excited about appliances and design.

Got these at the Sears Outlet on Front St. new in the box for a very nice price.

I still have no idea why the top of the dryer was made into a sunken washboard. Never seen anything like it. Also the first dryer I’ve ever seen with a light inside like it’s a fridge. All very cool but strange.
