Perfeito,otimo video,parabens……
Hello, yes we pour it one color then add different layers of colors to get the variety. Take care
At 4:24 of this video it shows your seashell border. Do you pour this all in one color and then paint the individual shells to get the final result?
Thanks for the compliment, use a cutting board to cut on especially with epoxies, they are the softest out of the sealers. Wax will help from getting scuffed or scratched but my favorite sealers are still the good old solvent based poly urethanes or poly aspartics. Take care
nice work , having any problems with cutting food on epoxy finish???
Thanks!
Super !!!
These counters look amazing! This two part epoxy you use, though – is it food safe and heat resistant? I’d hesitate to use it in a kitchen if it wasn’t. I’d be afraid of ruining it! (or poisoning myself)
Glad to hear it, thanks for the compliment!
Thank you very much, I appreciate your compliment!

@thiando CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYY……… Can sometimes be a good thing? +++Bob
just one thing…… this guy is totaly CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.
you are good doing it, I’m a mexican guy, i have been doing this for 9 years (fabricating,cutting sinks, installing and templeting) and all i can say is that u r right about what u r doing and saying.
Man, that’s a nice swing Bob!
thanks for the video. Added it as a favorite
after you are done ur job, can you take those wood apart after they have been glued together for other templates? how? can you list the material you used in writing please?
This seems so much more long winded than using Cordek board, basically it’s a see through acrylic sheet, around 3mm thick. Just place it on your base units, mark whatever you neet to cut and trim it with a stanley knife/ There’s hardly any joining involved, it’s very light but rigid and it wont expand with moisture. Cordek is definitely the easiest and quickest way for templating
Don’t want to call anyone an idiot,however it does make it simple to understand+++Thanks Bob
man im in granite shop. iam templating and installing. and the balsa wood u r using is the best method. iam calling it idiot proof. [because the idiots on the back understand all of it no problem.]
Thanks
I’m in the granite business and the rate and time you are taking to get it done, it will consume too much time. There are faster methods of doing this. If you are a beginner then you probably will go through this steps but an experienced one knows what is best in what situation.
You saved my ass
I been working whith granite and marble for the last 10 years and for me this is the best way to do countertops if you now that the template is done well theres nothing to worry. You’r countertop will fit righ.
Some times the home owner will tell you they don’t want seams. They want the countertops as seamless posible and big pieces come to play; example: center of sink or cook top. Only 4 inches of seam in the front and back.
there’s only one thing I noticed. That join in undermount is not quite right for me. my opinion, never ever put a join in undermount.
i work cuting granite and marble and for my personal opinion the blue board is the best material for templates i hate cardboard templates
This video is about using inexpensive material to guarantee a great result with the expensive material. If a homeowner wants to hire a installer to install granite thats fine but I see no reason why a person with reasonable skills cannot make their own template===Bob Also I have used this method of templating with other products besides granite and maybe a homeowner could use for that also! THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Bob,
Stay away from granite is expensive material and a one time shot to fab you might hurt a fabricators pocket or a ruin a homeowners project,at the end you forgot to mention you are not a expert and don’t try this at home and your video skips a little,I’m a 25yrs experienced biz owner, by the way good luck on all your templates.
I would be interested in knowing how a way of doing something that consistantly work could be “totally wrong”.I do realize that there are different ways of templating countertops than this such as digitally but in my experience this is “BY FAR” the best way currently available to get a real feel for how your new countertop will feel and look Thanks for watching===Bob
thats the totally wrong way to template,, you need to learn alot more about granite before you start teaching how to template
Thanks D ==Bob
Sweet that was gr8- see you on the next one

Cheers Bob. Nice of you to take the time out to explain it so well. Keep it up!
