my version of sun-dried tomatoes. good way to pseudo-preserve things (toaster-oven drying) and then you have concentrated flavor to sprinkle and add to just about anything. these were used in omelettes, salads, stirfrys, mini-croque monsieur sandwiches, and also just munched on. after tomatoes i did the same to thinly-sliced mushrooms (added salt halfway in so they didn’t get soggy). the mushrooms kinda taste like the fabled sullivan st bakery pizza (they would more if you added thyme and put them on crispy thin dough).
