Does anyone have any creative ideas for kitchen cabinet door pulls or knobs. I don’t want to use standard?

I just refaced my kitchen cabinets and I need to choose the knobs and pulls but I would like to add something interesting without spending a lot of money.

how about thread spools, could be painted any color
Too many to list.
A favorite of mine are the $00.49 wooden pulls from any craft store. Paint them with a colored base and then go crazy. Apply a polymer resin, apply food item, such as rice, beans, spices, etc, with glue and seal with water-based poly.
Another thing, if you’re into it, it to pick up mismatched, or matching silverware (knives, etc) drill holes and mount.
I have many more, but try http://www.hgtv.com. There are TONS
Knobdepot has alot of choices for about 50% off what you’ll pay in home improvement stores. (worth looking at)

Also, search Google for discontinued cabinet hardware, alot of times you can get a great deal (up to 80% off) hardware that a company is not selling by ordering direct!
Hope this helps:)

I bought some fake fruit (Wal Mart craft dept) cut them in half and put them all round by back splash in my kitchen; You could do the same with your cabinets. I get all kinds of compliments.
I used hot glue, but super glue may be better for something being used to open and close cabinet doors.
what to use for pulls depends on what look you want to achieve.
I have used children’s building blocks (with letters on them), empty wooded spools of thread (might be hard to find now), pieces of rope knotted on the ends.
Old flatware bent and screwed on would also work well.
Once you decide on a decorating theme, you can look around for “treasures” to use. Remember the old saying “One man’s junk is another man’s treasures.”.
