They usually have a comprehensive stock of parts which they use to repair or service appliances specially the new models. They also have some basic parts for the older models but they probably don’t stock rare old model parts since they are already obsolete and GE probably stopped producing them. There’s a better chance that you can find the parts that you need in Authorized Service Centers since they have direct contact and communication with the factory and they can easily order the parts that you need just in case they don’t have it. If your GE appliance warranty is already expired, you can still have them repaired by the qualified skilled technicians and engineers of the Service Center but you have to pay for the labor and parts. If you are too busy, you can even have a house call service and they will come to your house to repair your malfunctioned or broken appliance. The coverage of the warranty differs from country to country so be sure to read the warranty card carefully before visiting them.

Be sure to get the exact part number of the particular part you are searching. They don’t usually use the name of the part because of many model share the same part name. Repair shops usually have many old appliances that they can’t repair and the customer already abandoned them, so they sell it part by part instead of sending them to recycling facilities. If you don’t want to physically search them from shop to shop you can also purchase secondhand parts at online shops like eBay. People from all over the world sells different kinds of secondhand items there, you can even find rare parts which are not normally available in any hardware store.
