A refrigerator ice maker has a valve that fills a tray with water until it’s frozen, at which point a set of pins sweep the ice out of the mold and down a shoot into the bin. Find out how an ice maker when knows when it’s full with help from a home remodeling specialist in this free video on ice makers. i don’t really think this guy knows what he’s talking about… he don’t seem like a MECHANICAL minded person, but for SOME REASON he decided to post a video on it… though, for BASICS, it …. uhhmmm… is broken down okay, but NOT for people that REALLY want to KNOW HOW it works….
not bad, quite informative, the best site to get started working at home is Heavy Dollars (search it) – its really imformative, it helps me make extra $’s. I found that the online store is fantastic and practically runs itself
Hello there William. I have side by side from late 90′s. Doesn’t have built in filter-I inserted it on the waterline. I get cooled water O.K. but not ice. There must be some kind of secondary valve, which lets the water into the ice maker. How can I repair it…what is wrong? Thanks Jiri
how can i test my icemaker pump to see if it is working or if my refrigerator is not turning the pump on?
