    Sears parts direct should still carry everything you need to get it fixed. They have appliance parts on there for appliances from the 60′s and 70′s. :)

    my uncle just gave me a whirlpool portable dishwasher. its from 1989 but was given to me free, he bought it used. when he bought a house it came with a built in. im thrilled, it might be old but works fantastic. some of the older stuff was built better. i hope parts are still available.

    there better than top loading washers, thay wash better, cheaper to run etc
