Week 153 Assignment 2 for Take A Class With Dave and Dave.

Kitchen Photography ~ Shoot something that you can imagine selling as art for someone’s kitchen. Now technically that could be anything, but let’s avoid the "well I know most people wouldn’t put a photo of a tombstone in their kitchen, but I would!" line of reasoning. Pretend you’re actually going to try to sell your image to Williams Sonoma.

This idea popped into my head the minute I read the assignment. It didn’t turn out quite how I had it pictured in my head, but I do like the direction it was headed. I need a lot more kitchen gadgets (there were several items I just couldn’t find in my own collection of kitchen tools) to actualize my vision.

I did do a few with a "mouth" but the scale or look just didn’t mesh.

97/365 – Past, Present, and Future

Well, I got stuck in a traffic jam at 11:30 at night and needed to take my 365.

I was on the way home from hanging drywall at my parents place (new kitchen) that is usually 45 minutes away. I was rushing home and had an idea for a shot… then I saw the tail lights. Nope, not getting home before midnight. So, here I am trying to play with the aperture, drive, and hold the camera still for a 2 second exposure (yah right!). Well, it is pretty lame, but I bet the people in the car next to me got a good laugh out of it
