Is there anything I should worry about when babysitting a 5 and 6 year old?Craft or game ideas? Is it ok to.

u moet vragen de ouders voor een lijst van van afkeer, vooral over voedsel en dranken… allergieën, alarmnummers houdt
u kunt hen over dutjetijden ook vragen, if/when zien zij hen gewoonlijk. hebben.

I have a niece that is 5 now who I have watched once per week since she was a baby (i work every other weekend and have 1 day off each week) She always brings things from home..a baby doll or barbie…but I have always had a box of things to interest my nieces and nephews…it is not necessarily expensive things…but they are returned to the box before they leave…colouring books…crayons, some dolls..and trucks..girls like those too…craft stuff is always a hit…because I am spending that time with her….you can collect stuff around the house and ideas from internet for that. She loves online fisherprice toddler games..and i have downloaded some movies…like winnie the pooh..you can rent movies from the library..they have a great kids selection…We love being in the kitchen…we make cupcakes….I get the generic mix from the bulk food store..then we add whatever we want to them…frozen fruit…bananas…when I do the dishes..she sits on the floor with a big pot and washes her tea things…love to have tea parties. in the afternoon we watch a movie as a kind of quiet winddown time and usually have a snack..popcorn, fruit etc. so my schedule is in the morning she watches 20 min of tv to decide what she would like to do…then we play with toys..have a tea party…do a craft or bake something…then we have lunch…and usually a walk to the park or somekind of activity…they have alot of energy…if its you that cant walk (i had an injury in a wheelchair for a year) we still would go outside and she would stay on our side of the street…walk the dog or ride a certain distance and come back….15 times lol..or if someone cant to into the sun…go for a walk around an indoor mall and play a game where they have to spot 5 objects or colours…you have to do something except stay in the house all day….then we have a winddown time..my niece is too old for naps (she never had them anyway) so we watch a movie in the afternoon, clean up the place and clean them up before mom comes.

as far as naps you might want to ask the parents about that. talk to there parents find out what things they like what they dont like. Some stuff to do in the house is maybe coloring, watching a movie, play douh is fun just keep it on the table. You might go to a dollar store if there is one around you and get a few small toys and things for them to do. Maybe got to the libary read some books with them. Hope that helps

Ask the parents if they have any allergies and what they are and arnt alowd to do. Tell the mom to pack some toys for them to play with. i have a 5 y/o little brother and i would guess letting them color, paint, play tag catch and that sortof thing outside. Yes after playing for a while you could either put them down for a nap or have them quitly watch something on tv. Clean up time is a good idea but try to make it fun by singing or somthing like that. Making cookies would be a good in the kitchen activites. They could also make lemonade or ice cream sundaes.
Email me at if you want more sugestions.

    Good luck and god bless
