Is there anyway to repair a burn spot on a countertop without replacing the whole countertop?

I have a kitchen countertop that has a burnt spot on it that will not come off by cleaning it. I was wondering if anyone knows of any ways to repair the burnt spot without replacing the whole kitchen countertop?

If it is formica: cut out the burned spot with a router in a shape that can be matched with similar or “decorative” color. Make the patch to match out of your replacement formica, then glue it in with contact cement.

i used to cheat, use a very small scrapeing tool to remove the darkness, put a dab of paint the same coulor as the work top, then seal it with a spot of super glue, workd for me.

Route out the area and replace it with a wood cutting block or ceramic tile inlay. You can’t repair this damage.

if the countertop is a light color and its just a surface burn you can sand it out with 400 to 600 grit sandpaper. this will remove some of the finish, but the burn will not show as much.
