my son has placed a hot pot on my kitchen counter , leaving a 6inch brown spot on the counter..it’s not raised

as in bubbled from the burn just brown is there anything i can do to remove the stain
it’s a laminate counter top
tried comet it took it off slightly and now have it soaking with bleach
no luck with the bleach either

    Hmm its it a light formica surface, you could try leaving bleach sitting on for a while.

    Might try steel wool….I don’t know if any of these other solutions will work, you might have to get the counter top replaced…

    Sorry but it sounds like it may have physically burnt the material. Even if it hasnt bubbled. In this case… the only way to remove the stain would be to sand off the burnt area, and also the whole counter as removing the stained area would leave the counter uneven.
    Is it possible to state the name of the material the counter is made of?
