Fill the cup with ice cubes (I used 10 regular sized cubes). Fill up about 2/3 the cup with cold water.

Blend the sugar, strawberries, and preserves in a blender, then bring to a simmer in a saucepan.

Let simmer for… oh, 5 minutes or so. Toss in a pinch of salt while you’re at it. Then, let it cool, and whisk in the milk and cream.
