Some cool major kitchen appliances images:
day 6 of construction – installed appliances

Image by ajd, mhd, njd & gsd
Day 6 marked the end of major construction. Our appliances were installed, our plumbing was hooked up, cabinet handles were installed, and all cabinet lighting was completed. Birch was also able to install the three of the backordered doors that we picked up from Ikea on Saturday, although one of the doors has a significant gouge in it (we will surely be exchanging it for a new door).
We ran all of our appliances and everything seems to be working well. The dishwasher is not leaking into our neightbor below’s new kitchen, which is a good thing.
Things left to do: seal our butcher block counters, seal exposed new tile floor, install two glass doors for over sink cabs (backordered from Ikea), install deco strip below hanging cabs, have granite counter installed on peninsula, pick a color and paint kitchen and dining room.
Should be a fun September.
