Slow Cooker Applesauce

Made from apples we bought at Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, CT.
Combine in slow cooker:
6 cups chunked (mostly) peeled cored apples
½ cup water or cider
scant ¼ cup sugar
ginger & cinnamon to taste
Cook on High 3-5 hours depending on how chunky you like it.
Made approx. six 5 oz bowls.
Slow Cooker Pork Loin

3.5 pound boneless pork loin cooked in a slow cooker for 10 hours with a third of a bottle of mushroom marsala steak sauce, a can of low-sodium petite diced tomatoes, parsley, sliced onion, and dehydrated shallot flakes.
Surprisingly good if a bit messy as the pork fell apart as soon as I tried to slice it.
Served on rice with green beans, pickled beets, and a gravy I made by thickening the pan juices with a cornstarch slurry.
