my son has placed a hot pot on my kitchen counter , leaving a 6inch brown spot on the counter..it’s not raised

as in bubbled from the burn just brown is there anything i can do to remove the stain it’s a laminate counter top tried comet it took it off slightly and now have it soaking with bleach no luck with the bleach either
