The Best Kitchen Appliances You Must Have In Your Kitchen

The 19th Century kitchen is very different form the one we have today.  Use of kitchen appliances has become very common that we have ended up assuming that they exist in our lives, yet, without them, we would barely function.  Ever thought of a life without a microwave, a dish washer, electric kettles or even toasters?  There are hundreds of these appliances; with others being invented every other day.   However, among all those; the following are a must for every functioning kitchen.

 

The Electric Kettles and Slow Cookers

The kettle makes is a very efficient kitchen appliance.  The rate at which it boils water is more than any other appliance would do. For someone with one, they are able to have a hot or warn drink throughout the day; instantly.  Newer versions have a chamber for thermos that allows hot water to be retained for longer periods without getting cold.  Electric kettles like the iron kettles have added advantages in that they give extra iron to their users.  Its only setback is that it consumes a lot of energy but; all for a good and time saving cause.  The slow cooker on the other hand is as efficient.  With the current wave of people spending lots of time studying or working, the slow cookers helps such people to get well cooked home made food easily.  It is additionally very cheap and energy saving.  Though initially having been introduced in the market in the 70′s, its usage is yet to be overtaken by any other cooker.

Bread Toasters and Steamers

Believe it or not, this is a kitchen appliance that was invented a century back.  It’s through them that we have the world’s best food; toasted bread.  It is a versatile and appliance especially for people with very tight and busy schedules.  Toasting bread only takes a minute!  Other than the ordinary toaster, today there even are toasters that are Internet enabled.  Whenever kitchen appliances are being mentioned, steamers can never be left out.  They are a common appliance especially with Chefs from the East.  The most common ones are the Japanese Seiro and Mushiki steamers.  They have an added advantage over other appliances like microwaves in that they food steamed using them have an added health and nutritional value.

Microwaves

A kitchen without a microwave is like a prison cell without bars.  The kitchen appliance saves on time and energy that could otherwise be used in heating cold food.  Thawing and heating food only takes minutes.  Even though people find it very expensive to use in terms of the amount of power energy it uses, there’s no doubt that this is one kitchen appliance that will last for many years to come.  Some people also do have doubts about the food heated using the appliance.  Despite the questions, no one has proven any.  It’s therefore better to concentrate on its god side rather than its bad sides-which have not been proved.

The bread toaster, food steamer, microwave, the electric kettle and the slow cooker are some of the commonly used Kitchen Appliances, in today’s kitchens.  Every kitchen appliance plays a very important role in the kitchen; without which kitchen chores would be unbearable.
