@HumanTortuer @HumanTortuer Hi there—Well, we’ve had our Viking Professional for about five years…never had a problem…it is a superior machine to a KA. But you know, every now and then, everything from a machine, to a car, to some type of electronics will have a glitch. Even something brand spanking new… Just something to think about. Take care

Watts only mean a margin of the performance of these mixers. It’s like trying to base the performance of a product by it’s price. Your idea of Civic vs Lambo doesn’t work, it’s like saying this car our performs the other because it takes more fuel.
well if he got a lemon so did Emeril when his broke. I don’t know how your going to say a 575 watt motor ( thats if you have the pro 600 series) is going to out perform a 800 or 1000 watt mixer. Its like saying a Honda civic is going to out perform a Lamborghini.
ahhh heaven as i said before no kitchen is complete with out a viking mixer or a kitchen aid mixer
This looks like a derivative of the Kenwood machines here in the UK. Similarly powerful. But like the retro design of this machine
The newer KA Mixers: Good to show off, unusable otherwise.

Avoid it (KitchenAid Stand Mixer) like the plague!! If you intend making
bread with it, it won’t last 5 minutes! GoogleSearch Kitchenaid in this
group or in alt.bread.recipes and you’ll read tale after tale of woe!
Save up for a few extra months and buy a Bosch, Electrolux, DeLonghi,
Viking or the new Cuisinart. They all have the power to make bread.
well, i guess u got a lemon then.
I did follow the instructions properly, it was running too high speed for the number set, plus the torque was too loose (this was the first time it had to be returned). The second time was due to the motor not being able to cope with making Royal icing.
well, i don’t blame the blender, but the mixer u must have not followed the instructions properly cuz i’ve had mine for 6 years now and nothing has happened to it except become more quiet and fluent. and i use mine once a day occasionally two or three times for bread dough.
I have had a KitchenAid mixer and blender for 5 years now, I would not recommend them. The mixer had to go back twice in the first year for repairs, and the blender tends to pulp the food rather than liquify it.
just to let u know, these results came from the international cooking association, and the survey are held by professional bakers, cooks, and chefs. U have have watched the show emeril before, he got himself a viking for replacement for his kitchenaid, during his first show, someone in the audience asked if the viking stand mixer was better, he answered “yeah this is way better.” guess what, 10 minutes after using his stand mixer, it broke.
in 2007, Kitchenaid came first for being the most heavy duty, and long lasting. cuisinart came in second, viking came in third. so erm i don’t know what arguement are u going to stand with that information.
In the 2006 stand mixer rating of the year, the Artisan came second for the best machine for it’s price (black and decker eclectrics beat it because it was so cheap), and the Professional 600 came third, professional 5 plus came fourth, Delonghi came in fifth(7 quart) and sixth(5.5), viking came after delonghi at sevenths (7) and eighth(5.5) so i don’t know why u would think of the kitchenaid as being bad,.
The only reason the kitchenaids breakdown because those people don’t follow the manual, they knead they’re bread dough on speed 4 for at least 15 minutes, no duh it’s going to break down.
Dont’ you mean the Kitchen aid will break? Viking is known as a very well build mixer. But don’t take my word for it, go read reviews on bread bakers forums. The real bakers that use the equipment will tell you the kitchenaids now suck. Not the same as the ones in the 1950s.
i wouldn’t recommened this product, go with a kitchenaid, my friend owned one of these and it broke 2 weeks later after mixing about 10 cake mixs, not even bread. He bought a kitchenaid and loved it, so everyone go with KITCHENAID! i have one too!
That machine is kind of a hybrid of the KitchenAid stand mixer and the Oster Kitchen Center sold about 20 years ago.
Fissler ,WMF ,Silit are the popular used German Cookware in Korea…
but it seems that All-clad and similar product Viking are more popular in US…
Why is that…
