Just lay a flat 2by 4 on the floor and find the place that acts like the fulcrum of a seesaw

Use a level against the wall to draw a level line along the wall. Measure down to the floor from the line in several spots along the line. The shortest measurement is the highest spot on your floor.

(Depending on your floor coverings) Draw a rough grid over the entire floor area using chalk. Then drag a straight edge such as a spirit level over all of the chalk marks. Where the floor is raised you will see the chalk has been smudged.

a true straight edge such as a sheetrock square. Set it on the floor and look for gaps under it. You can fill the low areas with grout. You can use a 3′ ruler as well but the longer the better.
A string line will work but is a lot harder to tell the high spots.
