Why are there blue spots on my kitchen ceiling?

Im not sure what the blue spots are but they are coming through the ceiling. I am not sure if it is mold or what? is mold a navy blue? they are in blotches. but the spots do wipe off when you wipe them. and the spots are flat.

its probably mold from a leak
It might not be mold as mold is black, but something is leaking above that area. A pipe? An AC overflow? Whatever and the blue could be wallboard backing, insulation whatever is between the leak and your ceiling.
