Why choose Granite Countertops?

When choosing countertops there are an endless array of options, especially in the material.  Some materials you can choose from are wood, stainless steel, marble, corian, solid surface, or granite.  Recently granite countertops have become increasingly popluar among most households wanting to upgrade their counters.  Here are some of the pros and cons to granite.

Now that we have covered that, what about pricing? Though granite looks very expensive it is actually available at reasonable prices.  Most granite will fall within the to 0 per sq.ft. range depending on the color, edging and availability of the specific color.
