Because it smells interesting. If it bothers you, use an enzyme cleaner which should get the enticing smell out.
there is more than likely somthing there that she likes or somthing that she dosent like. you can purchase sour apple spray at you pet store like petsmart and spray her on the nose when she does it, she’ll stop sniffing the area then. it dosen’t hurt them or their eyes, i have it for my dog and have accidentally sprayed it in my eyes, it dosent hurt.
