Why won’t my hot water in my kitchen come on?

The cold water in my kitchen works, but when I try to turn on the hot water nothing happens. I live in Florida, so I doubt the pipe is frozen. I also noticed that the tiles in certain spots in my kitchen are alot colder in some spots. Do these two things have any correlation to each other? Or is it just a coincidence?
The hot water works in both bathroom sinks and the shower. it’s only in the kitchen. This has happened before but before we called the plumber it started working again.

Are the tiles wet? If so, that could mean the hot water
pipe has broken. Is there a shut off valve to the water line
under your sink that someone may have shut off?
Do you have hot water in your bathroom? If not, check
your circuit breaker to make sure it didn’t shut off.
If that didn’t happen, it could be that the water heater is bad.

You might have some rust stuck in your hot water filter. If you are inexperienced with taking things apart call a plumber to take care of it.
They will charge you a good amount though even for such a small project.
If you want to try yourself just turn off the hot water and cold water valve under your sink and take your faucet apart.
Also, does hot water flow every where else but your kitchen? If so then the above is whats wrong.

Your “cold” tiles could mean a leaking pipe. Or maybe its just something you only noticed now because your hot water is not working?!

first check shut off valve under sink if that ok then follow line to next shut off valve and so on until you find something closed…if you have a mixing valve somewhere that could be the problem but probably not as your other sinks work.another way to see if you have a leak somehwere where you cant see in kitchen is to run your other sinks how water and close the hot water supply valve to kitchen (not under the sink but where it branches off toward kitchen) if pressue get stronger in your other sinks you probably have a leak between there and kitchen sink

you have a broken hot water valve ,,if its a single lever get the make and go to a plumbing supply and get the replacemt,,,if its a duel faucet get a new hot water valve ,,,more than likely its only a washer————-ace repair

Sounds to me like you have some lime scale buildup that broke loose from the inside of one of the hot water pipes that feed the kitchen sink faucet and got up into the small valve that opens when you move the handles. You may have to remove part of the faucet to find the opening, then insert a small wire a short distance down into the line. I’ve had this problem occur in several customer’s homes. It’s very frustrating, but generally curable.

You could have a broken stem in the hot waterside of the facet. See if you have hot water going to the facet.Shut the cold off to the hot water tank and take the hot water line off the bottom of the facet. Then use a bucket to catch water. Have someone turn the water back on the hot water tank. If you get water it is the stem in the facet. Rather than tring to fix it, it is easier to replace the whole facet.
